After everything was set up, this is the first thing he did... grab his bone and plop himself, ever-so-cutely, under the tree :)

Thanksgiving 2012- Austin, TX

Redskins played Dallas so, naturally Mike would try to stir the pot and wear his Redskins shirt to Texas. And yes, as soon as we stepped off the plane people started smack talking. haha

From the airport we went directly over to see Mike's Mom. We kept the visit short and sweet, and everything went way better than anticipated. So glad to have captured this moment of Mike with his Mom.

This is what vegan marshmellows do in the oven--- ERRUPT into an ooey gooey volcano of mush!--- They do shrink back down when taken out of the oven.

Making a stop at one of Mike's favorite places- Epoch coffee (the Java's of Austin)

Sneak Peek- Wedding Decor Thrifting Treasures!

I love thrifting, and the Goodwill ALWAYS seems to provide me with EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Today's finds were perfect! No single item cost more than $9 and most were less than $2. Tomorrow I plan to check out a few after-Christmas sales to pick up some small things and then I should be just about done, as far as table decorations go! Of course we'll still need the flowers and candles to go in my new finds, but I'd say today was a STELLAR start to the decor hunt!

We also got the guy' suits (well, at least Mike's) ordered. All three of them will be wearing dark brown. Mike will wear an ivory vest on an ivory shirt and the groomsmen will wear the same color champagne vest as the girls' dresses over an ivory shirt. Think we're going to be one sharp lookin bunch!
